Equans is looking for a Head of Procurement - Digital & Energy Services to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
About the Role
The Head of Procurement (Digital & Energy Services) is a senior role within the Procurement function and CFO community that is responsible for partnering with and being an integral part of the operational leadership team to shape, enable, and deliver the business strategy through effective and focused procurement support.
The role is responsible for the delivery of UK fiscal financial Procurement Targets for the Digital & Energy Services (DES) business division alongside championing leading procurement practice, innovation, and sustainable supplier relationships.
You will provide visible leadership across the UKBU Procurement community, championing the Procurement People Charter, inspiring engagement, and helping the UKBU CPO create a culture where people thrive, develop, and perform at their best.
What Will You Deliver?
- Strategically lead Procurement activities for the Digital Energy Services division to create value expected and exceeding savings targets set whilst maintaining Operational engagement and delivering best in class Procurement solutions to EQUANS’ operations and ultimately clients.
- Champion the Procurement People Charter acting as a visible leader and role model who promotes collaboration, inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous development across the Procurement Community.
- Creation and ownership of all Procurement benefit initiatives which support the divisional business plans.
- Support and feed into UK and Group category strategies to ensure alignment with operational expectations, activity, and goals.
- Leading on key people activities as part of the employment life cycle.
- Align and stay compliant to the procurement governance and controls to ensure compliance within the division followed by effective communication and stakeholder trainings.
- Challenging status quo within sourcing projects and strategies and driving team to think innovatively about value extraction.
- Interacting with Operational CEO’s, MDs as well as Finance Directors and CFO, by providing full reporting and transparency related to the Divisions Procurement performance.
- Accurate and well-developed monthly reporting cycle against annual performance targets in alignment with the FD and commercial teams.
- Support the BD teams and wider Procurement team to align bidding activities and improve mobilisation process.
- Create operational procurement structure that supports the Digital & Energy Services division’s strategy and organisational structure.

Who Are We Looking For?
- Visible and authentic leader who models expected behaviours and positively influences the perception of Procurement across the business.
- Demonstrates a “One Procurement Team” mindset delivering the best outcome for the business.
- Understanding of the digital and / or energy sectors including procurement through complex supply chains and supply chain expansion strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complexity to drive agility.
- Ability to build strong relationships with operational colleagues.
- Entrepreneurial eye for opportunity to deliver value.
- Experience in digital and technology-based industries (Building management systems / Process Control Automation) and Renewables industry is advantageous.
- Senior level experience of procurement with a proven track record of delivery of value and team management.
- Experience in change management and implementation.
