Head of Procurement
Location: Hybrid - Minimum 3 days per week on site at our Greenford Site

We are a fast-growing, values-led manufacturing business with a collaborative culture and a deep passion for real food. In October this year, we will be moving into a brand new manufacturing facility in Greenford to support the next ten years of growth.
Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially sharp and strategically minded Head of Procurement to lead our sourcing and supply chain function. This role is pivotal in supporting our growth through strong supplier relationships, smart procurement decisions, and future-focused planning, all aligned with our sustainable ethos.
Suppliers are not just vendors to us, they are essential partners in our mission. This role is about building and nurturing collaborative relationships that go beyond transactions, and creating a procurement function that is strategic, responsive, and values-driven.
You will also play a key role in shaping the future of the business, contributing to major projects including our new production site and the launch of innovative new products.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement and Commercial Leadership
- Develop and lead a long-term procurement strategy aligned with growth, innovation, and sustainability goals
- Identify and nurture new strategic supplier partnerships while maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers
- Secure contracted pricing for raw materials and packaging that balances cost, quality, and long-term value
- Oversee supplier contract development, renewals, and terms of trade with clarity and accountability
- Define and manage supplier performance KPIs to monitor quality, service, innovation, and value

Major Projects and Business Growth
- Contribute to the development and operational setup of our new production site, ensuring supplier readiness and alignment
- Support NPD and EPD projects with commercially sound and technically feasible sourcing strategies
- Identify and manage supply risks to ensure continuity during periods of scale and innovation
Forecasting, Reporting, and Collaboration
- Work closely with the Demand Planner to align procurement activity with volume forecasts and strategic objectives
- Co-own COGS reporting and forecasting with Finance, ensuring accuracy and visibility for planning
- Collaborate with Technical, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure aligned and effective product launches and decisions
- Ensure the effective management of ingredient and packaging inventories, maintaining continuity of supply for production while optimising stock levels and supporting the company's cash flow objectives.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Lead and support the Purchasing Manager, helping them develop professionally and grow their skills
- Build a positive, collaborative procurement culture focused on accountability, growth, and operational excellence

What You’ll Bring
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in procurement, ideally within organic, natural, or premium food manufacturing
- Strong commercial acumen, with a history of successful supplier negotiations and long-term partnerships
- Experience developing and managing KPIs across procurement and supplier performance
- Demonstrated success in high-growth businesses, balancing agility with structure and keen pro activity
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to think strategically and act decisively with hands-on execution
- Highly organised, with a structured and data-informed approach to reporting
- Familiarity with Unleashed and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) is a plus
