My Money Matters
My Money Matters is a leading financial health platform on a mission to help public sector workers make the most of their salary - through education and products like pension top-ups, on-demand pay, and automated savings.
Right now, 72% of public sector workers are just one bad month away from financial difficulty. We exist to change that. Through innovative financial products, education, and our digital money coach, we help people take control of their financial future, whether that’s buying their first home, boosting their pension, or planning for retirement. Already trusted by major organizations including the NHS, we’re growing quickly and building a team of ambitious, commercially-minded people who want their work to genuinely matter.
This role is a real gem. It gives you the chance to make an impact not only on your team but also on the millions of employees who want to make their pay go further.
Leadership
You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a small but talented team. The size of the team gives you considerable time to invest in each direct report, giving you more opportunities to supercharge their growth.
Strategic Role
Strategically, you’ll be joining as we accelerate into a new phase of product development and growth. You’ll play a major part in this. Your job is to own and drive the product strategy and, as you build your understanding of our market, clients, and customers, to grow into shaping the strategy of the wider business. We believe that for a business like ours, product and business strategy are deeply intertwined, and we want a product leader who will earn the right to influence both. You’ll lead a team that is responsible for discovering new customer problems for us to tackle, defining solutions that customers love, and then turning that into value to the business.
Collaboration
And you won’t be doing this by yourself. You’ll be working with a group of excellent colleagues in Engineering, Data, Marketing, Sales, and beyond. Told you it was a gem.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What You’ll Do
- Own product strategy — translate MMM's business goals into clear product objectives the team can prioritize (and say no) against.
- Build a discovery-first operating model, ensuring problem, customer, and outcome are understood before solution and delivery dates are fixed.
- Bring Engineering, Design, Data, and Compliance into scope-setting early, and introduce a transparent, defensible prioritization framework.
- Surface and act on insight from customer research, colleague interviews, and data to shape product decisions.
- Generate and rapidly validate new concepts that unlock commercial opportunities.
- Build a genuine Product culture — modeling and coaching what great product management looks like across the team and wider business.
- Ensure every release is instrumented and measured from day one, working closely with the Data team to learn from what's shipped.
- Set and uphold standards for Product Team excellence, and champion product discovery and delivery capability across the organisation.
What We're Looking For
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you:
- Strategy definition - You have experience developing and defining winning product strategies.
- Product obsession - You are fascinated by how to develop a high-performing product culture; you’ve read the books and blogs, tried and failed — and learned what works and what doesn’t.
- Customer-centricity - You have built ways of capturing and analysing customer insight in a range of contexts. You have repeatedly shown your ability to balance customer needs and commercial objectives.
- Commercial acumen - You can quickly grasp the fundamental levers of a business, quickly modelling initiatives yourself before working with Finance to build something more comprehensive.
- Zero to one experience - You have developed impactful products from scratch and worked with the business to take them to market.
- Stakeholder management - You have worked with colleagues across the business to deliver new products and enhance product culture.
- Team leadership - You have raised the performance of your teams by setting clear expectations, giving your teams the tools and knowledge to succeed, and holding them accountable.
