About the Role

The Head of Product (Customer Due Diligence) will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s approach to financial crime risk management while driving efficiency and effectiveness across all Level 2 Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the CDD product strategy, ensuring alignment with financial crime risk appetite and regulatory obligations.
    • Lead from ideation to optimisation and decommissioning of products across the end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Design, build and continuously improve CDD products for:
    • Onboarding
    • Periodic review
    • Event-driven processes
  • Partner with operations, technology and third-party providers to deliver scalable, efficient solutions.
  • Work closely with 2nd Line Financial Crime to define product requirements, ensuring effective monitoring and oversight.
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Regulatory expectations
    • Audit standards
    • Internal policies
  • Drive automation, digitisation and data analytics to improve CDD outcomes.
  • Embed governance, controls and performance monitoring across all CDD products.
  • Lead:
    • Vendor selection and integration
    • Ongoing third-party management
  • Build and lead a high-performing product team, fostering innovation and accountability.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong product management and strategic roadmap experience.
  • Deep understanding of:
    • CDD/KYC lifecycle
    • Financial crime risks
  • Experience delivering RegTech or CDD-related products.
  • Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in:
    • Process optimisation & continuous improvement
    • Working with third-party vendors and integrations
  • AML, sanctions and regulatory framework knowledge.
  • Leadership experience in complex transformation environments.
  • A relevant degree and/or financial crime or product certifications (e.g., MIFID, GDPR, FCA).
