Head of Product Implementation, Managing Director

State Street Investment Management (“State Street IM”) is seeking a Head of Product Implementation, Managing Director to build and lead a global Product Implementation function within the Chief Operating Officer (COO) organization. The role reports to the Global Head of Product Technology and Business Services and is responsible for coordinating the operational build and launch of new products in close partnership with the Chief Business Officer (CBO) Product Innovation team. This is a senior, global leadership role accountable for translating product strategy into executable operating models.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders across the COO, risk, compliance, technology, and State Street Bank to ensure new product initiatives are delivered in a scalable, controlled, and timely manner. The Product Implementation team is responsible for assessing the capabilities required to support new product ideas, defining end-to-end operating models, and coordinating delivery across internal functions, service providers, and strategic partners.

The ideal candidate combines deep product and implementation experience, strong executive-level stakeholder engagement skills, and a thorough understanding of traditional investment fund structures and vehicles, alongside experience with emerging digital-native and tokenized products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and scale a global Product Implementation function to accelerate the delivery of new product innovation.
  • Develop a robust, repeatable framework to assess new product proposals against organizational capabilities, risk, and readiness.
  • Define and maintain end-to-end product operating models, solution blueprints, and aligned technology investment roadmaps.
  • Partner with product, technology, risk, compliance, and operations leaders to ensure seamless execution from product design through launch.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination across the COO, bank functions, service providers, and external partners to deliver scalable, efficient solutions.
  • Own and maintain a transparent product delivery roadmap, with clear prioritization, dependencies, and governance.
  • Support enterprise-wide strategic planning, innovation initiatives, and change management efforts.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and financial solutions, including digital assets and tokenization.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of solution architects and product implementation professionals.
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, regulators, and boards.
  • Operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments with a results-oriented mindset, sound judgment, and resilience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
