Head of Product Operations
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Product Operations based in the United Kingdom.
We are seeking a Head of Product Operations to build and scale the operational foundation of a growing product organization.
This role focuses on creating efficient systems, improving collaboration, and enabling product teams to deliver impactful solutions at scale.
You will design planning frameworks, streamline workflows, and establish operating models that help teams execute with clarity and speed.
The position combines strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong stakeholder management in a technology-driven environment.
You will work closely with product leadership and cross-functional teams to remove obstacles, improve processes, and support business growth.
This is an opportunity to shape how a product organization operates while building a culture of transparency, autonomy, and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities
- Build and manage a unified product operations framework that improves planning, coordination, execution, and communication across product teams.
- Facilitate cross-team planning processes, including roadmap alignment, goal setting, prioritization, and progress tracking.
- Establish scalable operating processes and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, remove bottlenecks, and reduce unnecessary complexity.
- Audit existing workflows, implement improvements, and standardize key product processes through clear documentation and knowledge management systems.
- Create and maintain collaboration frameworks between teams, including operating agreements, dependency management, risk tracking, and escalation processes.
- Develop execution management models for strategic initiatives, ensuring visibility, accountability, and alignment across stakeholders.
- Optimize the use of project management and collaboration tools by introducing standards, improving adoption, and supporting teams in their effective usage.
- Ensure important decisions, learnings, and retrospectives are documented and accessible across the organization.
- Explore and implement AI-powered tools and automation solutions to improve team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Act as an operational partner to product leadership, helping translate strategic goals into effective execution.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing product operations team.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in product operations, product management operations, program management, or a similar role within a technology or product-focused organization.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, or significantly improving operational processes within product teams.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional planning, including quarterly planning cycles, goal setting, roadmap synchronization, and execution tracking.
- Strong understanding of task management systems, documentation platforms, and collaboration tools.
- Ability to create effective operating models without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy or complexity.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly, facilitate challenging discussions, and influence without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to transform ambiguous problems into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Experience building, managing, or developing small teams is highly preferred.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, ownership, and delivering measurable impact.
- Interest in leveraging AI and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency is a plus.
