About the Role
Our client is a fast-growing fintech platform operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, serving major global financial institutions. The business is evolving into a product-led, AI-native organisation, with a new standalone product initiative at the heart of that shift.
We are supporting them on a Lead/Head of Product hire, working directly with the Founder & CEO. This is a genuine 0→1 build: defining, building and launching a new standalone product that reimagines how financial data, documents and investor workflows are processed.
You will build and lead a high-calibre 4-5 person team, intentionally separate from the wider engineering organisation, with a mandate to move fast and introduce a more product-led, AI-native way of building. The remit is end-to-end product ownership, from customer discovery through to MVP delivery and iteration, embedding AI both as a customer-facing capability and an internal accelerator.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
