Head of Data Products and Technology

Our client are a leading user-generated video marketplace, with an extensive video library of unique content. As demand for high-quality AI training data accelerates, they're uniquely positioned to transform this ilbrary into valuable datasets, metadata, and annotation products for AI companies.

We're looking for a commercially-minded technology leader to build the data products and platforms that will drive their next stage of growth

The opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of the AI data product roadmap.

Leading both technology and data functions, you'll work at the intersection of product, engineering, AI, operations, and commercial teams to transform their collection of user-generated video into scalable, commercially valuable data products. As a scale-up, the role combines this strategic ownership with hands-on work to create datasets etc.

This is a highly strategic role that combines product development, data strategy, and technology leadership. It's an ideal step-up for a product management professional with a strong data analytics background.

What you’ll be doing

Data Product Strategy & Development Define and own the AI data product strategy and roadmap, driving product-market fit through customer engagement and continuous product improvement Develop scalable metadata, annotation, taxonomy, and dataset solutions aligned with customer needs.

Technology & Product Leadership Lead the technology and data functions, ensuring resources are aligned to strategic priorities. Shape technology investment and architecture to support future growth. Own product prioritisation, roadmap planning, and delivery execution

Customer & Market Engagement Act as the primary product-facing representative to AI customers. Conduct customer discovery sessions to understand training data requirements and emerging market opportunities. Monitor developments across AI, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, and multimodal AI and update the wider business.

What we’re looking for Proven experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Data Products, Technology Leadership, or a related field. A track record of delivering data-driven products from concept through launch and growth. Experience working closely with engineering and technical teams. Strong stakeholder management and commercial decision-making skills. Experience defining product strategy, managing roadmaps, and balancing competing priorities. Ability to translate customer requirements into scalable product solutions.

It's not essential to have worked in an AI focussed role or environment previously, but you must have strong hands-on data analytics skills.
