Head of Programme Management - Perm - £90-110k - London / Hybrid
We are currently partnered with a leading social housing and affordable homes provider to recruit for a Head of Programme Management.
This is a senior leadership role within a large-scale Transformation & Change function, responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex programmes across areas such as technology, data, service design and operational transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight across major transformation programmes.
- Ensure projects are aligned to organisational priorities, delivered to agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Lead and develop Programme Managers, Project Managers, Change Leads and PMO resources.
- Own programme governance, assurance processes, stage gates and executive reporting.
- Manage programme budgets, business cases, benefits realisation and resource planning.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, sponsors and business leaders to drive successful outcomes.
- Oversee programme risks, dependencies and supplier performance to ensure effective delivery.

Key Requirements:
- Significant experience leading large-scale transformation programmes within a complex portfolio environment.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing both direct and matrix teams.
- Deep understanding of programme governance, assurance frameworks and change delivery methodologies.
- Experience overseeing budgets, financial forecasting, business cases and benefits tracking.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior executive level.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
- Strong knowledge of programme delivery approaches including MSP, PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, complex and evolving environment.

Programme Scope:
- 1 Portfolio, 5 programme workstreams, 30+ live projects
- Leading a team of 20+ Project professionals with 3 direct reports (Senior Programme Managers).
The successful candidate will be an experienced transformation leader who can bring together diverse teams, influence senior stakeholders and drive high-quality change outcomes across a large and complex organisation.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis with an expectation of 2 days per week in-office.
