Join our Transformation Team at L&Q
L&Q is one of the UK’s largest housing associations and providers of social and affordable homes. We house around 250,000 people primarily across Greater London and Greater Manchester. Our purpose is simple – to provide social homes and landlord services that everyone can be proud of.
L&Q has just begun to deliver on our new 5-year strategy, with Transformation and Change a key enabler. We have a well-defined Transformation & Change portfolio, a very clear North Star “To deliver an operating model that enables good landlord services and value for money. This will involve centrally designed services which are regionally delivered, so that they are reliable, repeatable and consistent, and fulfil local needs.” This includes how we design and organise our services, the leadership and cultural aspects of delivering meaningful change at scale, the Technology, Data & Information to deliver our services.
We are looking for a new senior leader to join our team as Head of Programme Management. You will provide strategic oversight, coordination and leadership for one or more aspects of the L&Q’s transformation and change portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
