Head of Projects
Head of Projects (Healthcare)
Location: Coventry
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Are you an experienced healthcare construction and project delivery leader with a strong background in PFI environments? We're seeking a Head of Projects (Healthcare) to lead the successful delivery of lifecycle, capital, refurbishment, variation, and defect projects across a major NHS healthcare site. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a complex stakeholder environment and can balance operational requirements, contractual obligations, and commercial performance while delivering critical infrastructure improvements that support frontline healthcare services.
The Role
As Head of Projects, you will provide strategic leadership to the site project delivery team, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with contractual requirements. You'll act as the senior point of contact for key stakeholders, including NHS Trust representatives, SPV partners, investors, technical advisors, and FM operational teams.
Working within a PFI environment, you'll be responsible for protecting commercial value, ensuring robust governance, and driving the successful delivery of projects from feasibility through to handover with minimal disruption to patient care and clinical operations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
