An established, privately owned property investment company is seeking an experienced Head of Property who is MRICS.
An established, privately owned property investment company is seeking an experienced Head of Property to lead the performance and strategic direction of a diverse UK real estate portfolio.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will oversee a multi-sector portfolio comprising commercial, residential, hotel and mixed-use assets. This is a broad leadership position with responsibility for asset strategy, operational performance, leasing, capital expenditure, compliance, and the continued enhancement of portfolio value.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading annual business planning, budgeting, and valuation processes across all asset classes
- Identifying redevelopment, repositioning, and value-add opportunities
- Supporting acquisition underwriting, due diligence, and the integration of new assets
- Overseeing internal property teams and external property and facilities management providers
- Managing rental income, operating expenditure, capital expenditure, and portfolio performance
- Establishing consistent KPIs, reporting, and performance dashboards
- Developing leasing, occupancy, renewal, and pricing strategies
- Leading negotiations with commercial tenants, retail brands, institutional occupiers, and other key stakeholders
- Overseeing commercial refurbishments, residential upgrades, hotel improvement programs, and mixed-use developments
- Managing planning, insurance, licensing, and regulatory matters across the portfolio
- Ensuring compliance with fire safety, health and safety, housing regulations, and property licensing requirements
- Driving the portfolio’s ESG strategy
- Presenting portfolio performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to the board, investors, and lenders
- Leading and developing teams across property management, facilities management, leasing, and asset management

The successful candidate will be a commercially minded property leader with significant experience managing complex, multi-asset real estate portfolios.
You will ideally have:
- MRICS qualification
- At least 15 years’ experience within property or asset management
- Broad experience across commercial, residential, and mixed-use assets
- A strong track record of improving asset performance and identifying value-enhancement opportunities
- Experience managing substantial capital expenditure and refurbishment programs
- Strong knowledge of property compliance, risk management, planning, and licensing
- Previous experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
- The confidence to communicate with board members, investors, lenders, and external advisers
- Experience working within a privately owned business or family office would be advantageous
