About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Homes Proposition to play a pivotal role within the newly established Group Commercial Office following the combination of Coventry Building Society and the Co-operative Bank. This transformational partnership has created the UK's seventh-largest mortgage lender and a compelling mutual alternative to the traditional banking market.

Reporting to the Head of Homes, this role will lead the strategic direction of the homes proposition, including product development and broader homeownership offerings. It will also be responsible for delivery of key initiatives that support the Group's growth ambitions, customer outcomes, and the long-term homes strategy.

The successful candidate will own the Homes product and proposition roadmap, leading the development of new propositions, enhancing broker and member offerings, simplifying legacy portfolios, supporting major transformation programmes, and ensuring the business remains ahead of market, regulatory, and customer trends.

As a highly visible leader, they will manage a team of experienced proposition and product development professionals and regularly influence stakeholders at Executive Committee level, acting as the recognised authority for the Homes proposition across the Group.

Location: We operate on a team led hybrid approach with the base office being Coventry.

Our benefits include:

  • 28 days holiday a year plus bank holidays and a holiday buy/sell scheme
  • Annual discretionary bonus scheme
  • Personal pension with matched contributions
  • Life assurance (6 times annual salary)
  • Company car allowance
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Group Income Protection

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
