Job Description: Senior Governance & Quality Lead (Care Hub Triumvirate)

About the Role

The post holder will deliver a robust governance framework within a defined locality/specialism as part of the Care Hub Triumvirate leadership team, supporting high-quality, safe, and supportive mental health services for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Key priorities include:

  • Coordinating all quality and governance activities, including:
    • Developing and implementing policies
    • Managing risk-strategy frameworks
    • Overseeing training programs
    • Conducting audit activities
  • Planning, delivering, and reviewing comprehensive mental health services across five boroughs (Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside & Glossop).
  • Participating in on-call rotations.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves shared leadership within the Care Hub Triumvirate, working alongside:

  • Care Hub Associate Director
  • Clinical Director

Core accountability includes:

  • Joint responsibility for managing the care hub, ensuring:
    • Effective alignment with national/local strategies
    • Achievement of service objectives while optimising resources
  • Senior representation of the care hub in internal and external meeting forums
  • Escalation management for:
    • Patient safety
    • Experience
    • Service effectiveness
    • Mitigating/reducing associated risks
  • Supporting teams in understanding their responsibilities and accountability for:
    • Safety
    • Patient experience
    • Clinical/service quality
  • Conducting difficult conversations with staff/teams to hold them accountable for clinical practice concerns impacting quality.
