Head of Quality
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £65,000 - £72,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Quality to join a market-leading FMCG manufacturer that has invested heavily in its people, processes, and technology. This is a modern, highly automated manufacturing environment where quality is at the heart of the operation, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on driving standards, leading teams, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will lead a well-established Quality function, managing a team of more than 20 Quality Technicians while working closely with Production, Engineering, and Technical departments to deliver best-in-class quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 20+ Quality Technicians, creating a high-performing and engaged quality function.
- Drive a proactive quality culture across the manufacturing operation.
- Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve quality, reduce waste, and enhance manufacturing performance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and customer standards.
- Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventative improvement activities.
- Analyze quality data and KPI trends to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and customer satisfaction.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Develop and implement robust quality procedures, systems, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience as a Head of Quality, Quality Manager, or similar leadership role within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing and developing quality teams.
- A genuine passion for Continuous Improvement and operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, food safety standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience leading root cause investigations and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to influence positive change across the business.
