We are now seeking an experienced and driven Head of Quality, Compliance & Risk to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our services.
The Role
Working closely with our Director of Care, you will lead the organisation's approach to quality assurance, regulatory compliance and risk management across our children's homes.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced children's residential care professional who is passionate about driving excellence, supporting managers to succeed, and ensuring the very best outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation's quality assurance and continuous improvement framework.
- Conduct audits, inspections and quality monitoring activities across all homes.
- Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
- Support Registered Managers and leadership teams to achieve outstanding outcomes and inspection results.
- Identify, assess and mitigate organisational risks.
- Monitor safeguarding practices and promote a strong culture of safety and accountability.
- Analyse performance data and produce reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop action plans and support services to implement improvements effectively.
- Promote trauma-informed and child-centred practice throughout the organisation.
- Lead on policy development, regulatory updates and compliance improvements.

About You
We are looking for a confident and experienced leader who can inspire others, challenge practice where necessary and drive sustained improvement across our services.
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience working within children's residential care.
- Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, compliance, auditing or operational management.
- Excellent understanding of risk management and governance.
- Proven ability to support and develop managers and operational teams.
- Strong analytical, report-writing and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the Midlands.
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Experience supporting services through Ofsted inspections and improvement programmes.
- Experience operating at senior leadership level within children's services.
