Head of Regional Hire Engineering Location – Flexible on Depot/Office We are a leading temporary works specialist and at the forefront of our industry for over 60 years, with a reputation built on engineering and service excellence. This enables us to deliver the right temporary works solution for our customers, whatever the scale or complexity of the project. Our customers include civil engineering and construction contractors, asset owners, and consulting engineering firms through to small builders. We are currently looking for a Head of Regional Hire Engineering to be based from any of our depots or offices in the UK. The role will provide leadership and direction to the regional hire engineering team and oversee the development and implementation of engineering strategies and processes. Benefits A competitive basic salary & package Great health and well-being packages A great pension scheme Key Responsibilities Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals and plans for the regional hire team that align with the company strategy Lead and manage the regional engineering team to ensure they have the necessary resources, tools and training to deliver projects and meet the company objectives Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations overseeing the development and implementation of appropriate engineering processes and procedures Monitor performance metrics to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards Work closely with the operational & sales teams to identify and address customer needs and develop technical solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations Collaborate with the wider company to identify emerging technologies, products and trends that may impact and develop strategies to incorporate these into our products and services Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, industry associations and other external stakeholders to promote Mabey Hires engineering capabilities and foster collaboration and innovation. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering teams and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed to the required quality standards. Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation including recruitment and retention Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, technologies and practices to optimise performance, cost and customer satisfaction What You Need Degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent Strong technical knowledge of temporary woks solutions, including propping, formwork and groundworks. Experience of developing and implementing engineering strategies, policies and procedures Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills Full driving licence for travel to customer and internal sites.
