Head of Reporting / Financial Control

Solihull | Hybrid Working | Excellent Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Ready to move beyond reporting and become a true finance leader?

If you're a technically strong ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant who enjoys improving processes, influencing senior stakeholders and leading change, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. Greenwell Gleeson has been retained to recruit a senior finance leadership position for a highly successful, growing organisation based in Solihull. This is far more than a traditional reporting role—it offers the chance to shape the future of the finance function, drive transformation and become a trusted adviser to senior leadership.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, you'll take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance and financial control while leading a talented team through the next phase of its development. You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing reporting capability, strengthening governance, embedding best practice and delivering finance transformation initiatives that will support the continued growth of the business. This is a role for someone who enjoys making things better—not simply maintaining the status quo.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
