Head of Residential Conveyancing
Head of Residential Conveyancing (10+ PQE) – Wiltshire
A well-established and progressive law firm in Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead its successful property department. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior conveyancer looking to advance their career, offering a clear path to Partnership and the autonomy to shape and develop the team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will oversee the residential conveyancing department, managing and mentoring team members while handling a high-quality case load that includes:
- Freehold and leasehold sales & purchases
- Remortgages
- Transfers of equity
- New build matters
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in business development, maintaining strong relationships with clients, estate agents, and professional referrers.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of conveyancers
- Ensure high standards in quality and client service across all transactions
- Develop and implement business strategies to grow the conveyancing division
- Represent the firm in client meetings, negotiations, and stakeholder interactions
- Stay knowledgeable about industry best practices and regulatory requirements

Person Specification & Requirements
Wewelcome applications from:
- Solicitors, Legal Executives, or Licensed Conveyancers
- Candidates with 10+ years of post-qualified experience (PQE)
- Those demonstrating proven leadership skills
- Senior fee earners with strong commercial awareness
Essential Requirements:
- Strong commercial awareness
- Exceptional client care and relationship management skills
- Ambitious, ready for progression to Partnership
- Experience in both residential and commercial conveyancing preferred
