Location: London – Hybrid Working Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time (35 hours)
Are you a strategic pricing leader with a passion for shaping market-leading retirement income products? We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Retail Income Pricing to join our Retail Actuarial & Reinsurance team at a pivotal time for our business.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end commercial pricing strategy for our Retail Income products — ensuring they’re robust, competitive, and aligned to our wider financial objectives. Reporting directly to the Retail Actuarial & Reinsurance Director, you’ll combine technical excellence with commercial insight while leading and developing a high-performing, highly engaged team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Retail Income Pricing strategy, developing and maintaining pricing data, models, and processes, with a focus on automation or efficiency improvements through AI or other means
- Own the Retail Income pricing performance, ensuring it is robust, up-to-date, and supports the achievement of financial objectives
- Identify and lead initiatives to improve optimisation and conversion of income products through pricing, working closely with commercial and distribution leads
- Collaborate across the business to ensure pricing initiatives and changes are implemented timely, accurately, and efficiently
- Partner with the Retail Reinsurance team to optimise reinsurance for the pricing strategy

Skills and Experience
- Qualified FIA or FFA, or equivalent
- Significant experience in the “at or in retirement” market, focused on product development and pricing activities, or managerial-level experience gained within a UK life insurance company and/or a consultancy
- Proven experience of leading pricing-related or development projects
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly and concisely
- Strong ability to lead and influence others
- Strong strategic vision and development skills
- Understanding of the competitive landscape (both distribution and product) of the retirement income and long-term care markets
- Team player with a focus on leadership by example and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment under tight deadlines
- Self-starting ability to deliver with minimal guidance
