Macmillan Davies are delighted to be partnering with our client to appoint an experienced Head of Reward to play a pivotal role in shaping their people agenda and enhancing the overall employee proposition.

This is a senior opportunity for a reward professional who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will take ownership of the reward agenda, using market insight, data and commercial understanding to influence decisions around pay, benefits, talent retention and organisational effectiveness.

Working as part of the wider People leadership team, you will provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders, lead reward initiatives, support organisational change, and ensure reward practices remain competitive, fair and aligned to business priorities.

Alongside reward leadership, you will oversee HR services delivery, driving improvements in processes, governance and employee experience. You will also lead a talented team and contribute to key People projects that support ongoing business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and deliver reward strategies, including pay reviews, benchmarking, benefits and recognition initiatives.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to senior leaders on reward trends, workforce competitiveness and retention.
  • Lead HR services operations, ensuring efficient, compliant and employee-focused delivery.
  • Support organisational change activity through effective planning, analysis and stakeholder engagement.
  • Use people data and analytics to influence decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing People team.
  • Manage external partners and suppliers to ensure quality, value and compliance.

About You

You will be an established reward leader with experience operating at a senior level within a complex organisation. You will bring strong technical reward expertise, commercial awareness and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

You will ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience across reward strategy, pay reviews, benchmarking and benefits.
  • Experience leading HR teams and delivering people-related change.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A data-driven approach with the ability to turn insight into action.
  • Experience managing suppliers, budgets and competing priorities.
