Sport England Head of Risk & Assurance Home-based Salary c. £75,000 + package
I'm delighted to be exclusively partnering with Sport England to appoint their new Head of Risk & Assurance.
Sport England is the Government's arms-length body responsible for investing in and growing grassroots sport and physical activity across England. Through its strategy, Uniting the Movement, the organisation invests hundreds of millions of pounds each year to help people live more active, healthier lives and reduce inequalities in access to sport and physical activity.
This is a genuine Head of Function opportunity where you'll lead the organisation's Risk & Assurance agenda, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and the Audit, Risk & Governance Committee to shape strategy, strengthen governance and continue to mature the organisation's enterprise risk framework. You'll also oversee the outsourced Internal Audit function and play a key role in ensuring effective governance across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
