Hanover is partnering with an investment and wealth management firm on a search for a senior Head of Risk & Compliance
This is a broad, varied role for someone who enjoys combining strategic oversight with hands-on delivery in an entrepreneurial environment.
The successful candidate will lead the firm’s risk and compliance framework, advise senior management and the Board, and help shape robust governance as the business continues to evolve. The remit spans enterprise and operational risk, FCA compliance, financial crime oversight, regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, SMCR governance and investment risk oversight across delegated portfolio management activity, including UCITS structures.

Key deliverables will include:
- Maintaining and enhancing the risk management and compliance monitoring frameworks
- Providing practical, commercial guidance to senior stakeholders and front-office teams
- Monitoring regulatory obligations, investment mandates, portfolio guidelines, and fund governance requirements
- Embedding effective controls, reporting, and risk awareness across the business
I’m keen to speak with senior risk and compliance professionals from wealth management, private banking, asset management environments. Strong enterprise / operational risk experience is essential, alongside sound knowledge of FCA requirements, compliance monitoring, AML/KYC frameworks, and investment risk. Exposure to UCITS structures, delegated portfolio management or fund governance is also required.
