About Salad Finance

Salad Finance is a purpose-driven fintech providing responsible consumer lending solutions designed to improve financial wellbeing. Our approach to expanding financial inclusion has been recognised with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation. As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our risk management capability and are looking for a pragmatic, practical Head of Risk Management to take ownership of our risk framework and help embed effective risk management across the business.

This role is more practical and operational than a traditional corporate Head of Risk role. We are a growing fintech, and we are looking for someone who enjoys building, improving and operating risk management processes, rather than managing large teams or navigating multiple layers of governance. If you thrive in a changing and growing environment and are motivated by delivery and practical outcomes, we would love to hear from you.

The Opportunity

As our business grows, we are separating risk management and compliance responsibilities to ensure both areas receive dedicated focus and leadership.

The Head of Risk Management will take ownership of the day-to-day operation and continued development of our risk management framework. Working closely with the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and Conduct & Compliance Lead, you will help identify, assess, monitor and manage risks across the business while supporting sustainable growth and good customer outcomes.

This is a standalone role with no direct reports initially. You will be the primary owner of risk management activities across the business and will be comfortable working independently, influence stakeholders, and take a practical, proportionate approach to risk.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
