Are you passionate about rowing and inspiring the next generation of athletes?

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Head of Rowing to lead and develop our rowing programme, coaching pupils of all abilities, leading training both on and off the water, and nurturing a culture of participation, ambition and excellence. The successful candidate will be a motivated and innovative professional with a strong understanding of water safety and the ability to build strong partnerships within the rowing community. They will combine strong technical knowledge with a commitment to pupil wellbeing, safety and achievement.

The Head of Rowing will be required to work Wednesdays from 4.00pm - 7.00pm and Saturdays from 12.00pm - 4.00pm, plus at least two evening training sessions per week (one hour per session), with flexible timings between 5.30pm and 8.30pm. Additional hours may be available through one of our local rowing partnership schools. Further information is available on request.

Whether you already hold one or more of the qualifications listed below, or are willing to undertake the necessary training, you will be joining a school community that values excellence, innovation, encouragement and mutual respect:

  • A British Rowing L2 Club Coach / Session Coach qualification (or equivalent).
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate.
