Head of Safeguarding

Head of Safeguarding

Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Head of Safeguarding to lead the delivery of outstanding safeguarding practice across our organisation.

This is a high-profile, strategic leadership role where you will work closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and wider Quality team to ensure we meet statutory safeguarding requirements while continuously improving outcomes for the people we serve.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping our safeguarding strategy, driving a culture of continuous learning, and ensuring that safeguarding is embedded across every level of the organisation.

[Please note: This is a single vacancy being advertised across multiple UK locations to maximise reach, as the role is primarily remote. We kindly ask that applicants submit one application only, as duplicate applications will not be considered.]

About The Role

As our Head of Safeguarding, you will:

  • Provide expert leadership and oversight of safeguarding across adults and children’s services
  • Drive the development and implementation of our safeguarding strategy and improvement agenda
  • Ensure robust safeguarding governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
  • Analyse safeguarding data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practice
  • Represent the organisation at a senior level in safeguarding forums and partnerships

While this role does not have direct line management responsibility, you will play a key leadership role through:

  • Regular 1:1 engagement and professional support to our 9 Safeguarding Leads across the organisation
  • Helping them develop capability and deliver consistent high standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
