We are now entering an exciting new phase of growth and positive change - including ambitious environmental and net zero initiatives - and we’re looking for a passionate Head of Safety, Health Environment to help lead that journey.
This is an outstanding opportunity to shape site-wide SHE strategy, influence culture at every level and drive continuous improvement across a busy, dynamic food manufacturing environment.
The Role
As Head of SHE, you will lead the development and delivery of our Safety, Health Environment strategy, ensuring best-in-class standards, compliance and continuous improvement across the site.
You will be a visible leader who champions a proactive safety culture, empowers operational teams and ensures environmental responsibility remains a core business priority.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the site SHE strategy in line with business objectives and CPC Group standards Drive safety leadership and continuous improvement using NEBOSH/IOSH Plan-Do-Check-Act principles Maintain and improve the site Safety Management System, ensuring compliance and effectiveness Identify, quantify and manage significant SHE risks across the operation Monitor and challenge SHE KPIs to deliver measurable improvements Conduct regular health, safety and environmental audits to ensure legal compliance and best practice Deliver engaging SHE training programmes, including emergency procedures and workplace safety Ensure all plant, machinery and equipment inspections are completed in line with legislation, including PUWER requirements Manage environmental compliance, including hazardous waste, pollutant monitoring and sustainability initiatives Support and influence a positive culture of accountability, ownership and operational excellence.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and experienced SHE professional who can influence at all levels and lead by example.
You Will Ideally Have
NEBOSH Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline Proven experience in a senior SHE leadership role within manufacturing or food production Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation Experience with ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems A track record of driving sustainability and environmental improvement initiatives Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical, reporting and risk assessment capabilities The ability to develop policies, influence culture and deliver meaningful change
