Head of Sales – Catering Equipment (Maintenance and Service)

Senior sales leadership opportunity with a growing national service business

  • Lead and develop a team of 5 National Account Managers and their National Account Executive teams
  • Strategic role focused on customer retention, growth, and commercial performance
  • National remit with a blend of field, home-based, and office working

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Sales to lead a national account management function within a well-established technical services organisation. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for:

  • Driving profitable growth across key national accounts
  • Strengthening customer relationships and building a high-performing sales culture
  • Coaching and developing your team
  • Overseeing strategic account plans and customer reviews
  • Identifying new commercial opportunities
  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service across a multi-site customer base

This is a highly visible leadership position, where you will play a key role in shaping future sales strategy and performance.


Location

National role with regular UK travel. Candidates should ideally be located within approximately two hours of the West Midlands, with office attendance typically 1–2 days per week.


Requirements

  • Proven experience leading and developing sales or account management teams
  • Experience managing large, multi-site, or national accounts
  • Background in route-to-market sectors such as:
    • Food & drink
    • Chemicals
    • Service contracts
    • Or related industries, or experience selling capital equipment solutions
  • Commercially astute with strong coaching, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build credibility at senior customer and board level
  • Full UK driving licence
