Head of Sales - Catering Equipment (Maintenance and Service)
Senior sales leadership opportunity with a growing national service business
Role Summary Lead and develop a team of 5 National Account Managers (and their teams) to drive customer retention, growth, and commercial performance in a strategic national role.
The Role
An exciting opportunity to lead a national account management function within a well-established technical services organisation. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role demands:
- Leadership: Expand and elevate an accountable, high-performing sales team
- Strategic Account Growth: Drive profitable expansion across key national accounts
- Customer Relationships: Cultivate multi-site customer engagement and service
- Commercial Strategy: Contribute to shaping future sales strategy and performance
Responsibilities extend to:
- Coaching and developing the National Account Manager team
- Overseeing strategic account plans & customer reviews
- Identifying new commercial opportunities
- Ensuring exceptional customer service delivery

A high-visibility leadership position with influence over growth direction.
Location
National role with regular UK travel. Office attendance is 1-2 days per week. Ideal if based within ~2 hours of the West Midlands.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading sales or account management teams
- Hands-on experience managing large, multi-site, or national accounts
- Strong background in:
- Route-to-market sectors: food, drink, chemicals, service contracts, or related industries
- Selling capital equipment solutions
- Commercially astute with:
- Strong coaching, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build senior-level customer and board credibility
- Full UK driving licence
