Head of Sales
Location: Home based (with weekly travel to Head Office in Northern England and UK customer travel as required)
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Bonus + Benefits
The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the founders, the Head of Sales will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial strategy, leading a talented sales team and securing new national retail partnerships. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and winning business.
The Role
As Head of Sales, you will take ownership of the UK commercial strategy while developing a high-performing sales function.

- Develop and execute the company's commercial growth strategy alongside the business owners.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of three sales professionals, creating a high-performance culture.
- Personally secure new listings and long-term partnerships with major UK grocery retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury's and other strategic national accounts.
- Build and implement customer plans that deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
- Lead all major commercial negotiations, annual agreements and Joint Business Plans.
- Identify new market opportunities and routes to market.
- Work closely with Marketing, Operations and Product Development to ensure successful customer launches.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management and commercial reporting.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, trade events and industry forums.
- Contribute to wider business strategy as part of the senior leadership team.
About You
We're looking for an ambitious commercial leader who thrives in entrepreneurial businesses and enjoys building something special.
You'll ideally bring:
- Proven success in winning and growing business with major UK grocery retailers.
- Experience operating at Senior National Account Manager, Head of Sales or Commercial Manager level within FMCG.
- A track record of delivering significant revenue growth.
- Strong commercial negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing sales teams.
- Strategic thinking combined with a willingness to remain customer-facing.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with retailers and internal stakeholders.
- High levels of energy, resilience and commercial ambition.
- A passion for sustainability and purpose-led brands would be advantageous.
