Head of Sales - Catering Equipment (Maintenance and Service)

Senior sales leadership opportunity with a growing national service business

  • Lead and develop a team of 5 National Account Managers and their National Account Executive teams
  • Strategic role focused on customer retention, growth, and commercial performance
  • National remit with a blend of field, home-based, and office working

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Sales to lead a national account management function within a well-established technical services organisation. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for:

  • A team of 5 National Account Managers, each managing their own National Account Executive teams
  • Driving profitable growth across key national accounts
  • Strengthening customer relationships and building a high-performing sales culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop your team
  • Oversee strategic account plans and customer reviews
  • Identify new commercial opportunities
  • Ensure exceptional customer service delivery across multi-site customers

This is a highly visible leadership position where essential contributions will be made to future sales strategy and performance.

Location

This is a national role with regular UK travel. The ideal candidate lives within ~2 hours of the West Midlands, with expected office attendance of 1–2 days per week.

Requirements

Required for this leading sales role:

  • Proven experience in leading & developing sales or account management teams
  • Experience in managing large, multi-site, or national accounts
  • Background in sectors such as food, drink, chemicals, service contracts, or capital equipment solutions
  • Commercially astute with strong coaching, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build credibility at senior customer & board level
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence

  • Base Salary: £75,000 - £80,000
