As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts. The role is about: We are seeking a passionate and driven Head of UK Sales (Acquiring) to lead our UK team focused on expansion in the local market in the United Kingdom. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a dynamic and diverse sales team dedicated to identifying key prospects, acquiring new clients, and driving market share growth. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in the acquiring space, demonstrating a strong understanding of acquiring solutions, market trends, and the needs of businesses in this space. They should be a leader, with proven experience growing and leading teams, as well as still being involved in bringing new opportunities and revenue to the business. This is a true player-coach role, leadership and revenue ownership go hand in hand. Reporting Line: Group Head of Sales (Acquiring) Location: Hybrid set up from our London Office in Holborn. What you will do:
- UK Sales Strategy Development (Acquiring & POS) Continue to develop and tailor the sales strategy for the UK acquiring market, including expanding awareness and driving sales for POS and acquiring services. Identify growth opportunities and key segments to drive market penetration and revenue. Collaborate with the leadership team to align the UK acquiring and POS strategy with overall global objectives. Stay up-to-date with market trends, customer needs, and competitor actions to inform strategic decisions
- Sales Leadership & Team Management Lead, and inspire a high-performing UK sales team, ensuring targets are met. Monitor performance and foster a culture of excellence and accountability. Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent, ensuring the team is equipped to succeed. Develop and implement sales tools, knowledge, and resources to meet market demands.
- Sales Process Optimization Continuously refine and optimize the UK sales process to enhance efficiency and scalability. Implement best practices in lead generation, pipeline management, and deal closing. Leverage CRM tools and sales analytics to provide accurate forecasting and insights. Streamline sales cycles and improve conversion rates across the team.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Product, Client Success, and Risk, to ensure sales efforts align with company-wide goals. Provide feedback to drive product innovation and improve market positioning. Ensure a seamless connection between sales and other departments to enhance client satisfaction.
- Market Expansion & Business Growth Lead efforts to expand payabl.'s acquiring services in the UK, fostering relationships with key stakeholders and partners. Support businesses of all sizes by providing strategies to help them grow and succeed in their markets. Drive revenue growth and establish a strong presence in both new and existing markets.
- Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all sales operations comply with local regulatory requirements, legal standards, and internal company policies. Partner with Risk and Legal teams to mitigate risks associated with client contracts and engagements. What we need: Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in the payments and acquiring industry, with a deep understanding of products similar to payabl.'s offerings. Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing sales teams, particularly in the UK acquiring market. Sales Strategy Development: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute robust sales strategies that drive revenue and market expansion. Revenue Generation: History of driving significant revenue growth, consistently exceeding targets. Inspirational Leadership: A strong leader who can energize teams, foster a high-performance culture, and mentor sales professionals. Product and Market Understanding: In-depth understanding of product-market fit within the payments space and the ability to position products effectively. Growth-Oriented: Experience in high-growth environments with a focus on scaling teams and strategies. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong experience working closely with Marketing, Product, and Client Success teams to align sales strategies. Adaptability: Ability to navigate and lead in fast-paced, evolving industry environments. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders. Compliance Awareness: Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the UK payments market.
