I'm working exclusively on behalf of a well-funded, ambitious specialist property lender looking to appoint a Head of Sales to help drive the next phase of its growth.
This is a newly created opportunity to join a business with a clear strategy, an exceptional leadership team and the financial backing to deliver on its ambitious plans. Already highly respected within the specialist lending market, the business is now scaling, making this a role that offers significant long-term career progression.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. They're looking for a true player-manager—someone who still loves getting out into the market, meeting brokers, attending networking events and developing new relationships, whilst leading and inspiring an internal sales team.
You'll initially manage a small team of Internal Business Development Managers, coaching them to maximise performance while remaining highly visible externally, managing your own portfolio of key broker relationships and acting as a role model for sales excellence. As the business continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a team of field-based Business Development Managers, giving you real influence over the future shape of the sales function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
