Head of Sales & Business Development, UK & RoI Defence Tech Innovator - Defence Simulation UK – Remote

We are exclusively retained on a strategically important appointment within the UK defence simulation market.

Our client is seeking a Senior Sales & Business Development Manager (Head of Sales & Business Development UK & RoI) to lead growth across the UK & Ireland, focused on MOD, defence primes, systems integrators and key government stakeholders operating within the simulation, training and interoperability environment.

This is not a volume-sales role.

Success in this position will come from building trusted, long-term relationships, embedding deeply within customer environments, influencing future capability direction and becoming the recognised “first call” partner for simulation and interoperability requirements.

The opportunity will suit an experienced sales and business development professional who understands how to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes across UK MOD, Front Line Commands, DE&S, government departments and major OEMs — someone equally comfortable identifying and capturing new opportunities whilst also farming and expanding strategic accounts over the long term.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
