Head of Sales (London)

Do you have strong relationships across London’s most prestigious restaurants, hotels, and luxury hospitality groups? Have you successfully led high-performing On-Trade sales teams within premium Beverages? Ready to shape the strategy and growth of one of the UK’s most respected luxury drinks portfolios?

MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading prestigious Wine & Spirits producer on the search for a Head of London On-Trade. This is a permanent role based in London.

This is a pivotal leadership position, responsible for driving sales growth, team performance, and commercial strategy across London's On-Trade channel. Managing a team of experienced sales professionals, you will combine strategic leadership with hands-on account management, maintaining relationships with flagship customers while identifying new opportunities to accelerate growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the London On-Trade strategy, delivering sustainable growth across volume, value, and profitability
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team across New Business, Prestige, Account Management, and Business Development functions
  • Personally manage a portfolio of key flagship London accounts, ensuring exceptional commercial performance and brand representation
  • Identify and win new business opportunities across luxury hospitality, premium dining, hotels, and influential On-Trade groups
  • Work closely with distributor partners to maximise visibility, advocacy, and commercial performance
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Events teams to deliver impactful activations and premium customer experiences
  • Ensure optimal listings, menu visibility, pricing, and execution across strategically important accounts
  • Own channel planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for the London region
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the hospitality industry and wider trade network
  • Support wider commercial initiatives through training, customer events, and brand experiences

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience within premium Wine & Spirits sales
  • Strong network and credibility across the London On-Trade, particularly within luxury hospitality and prestige venues
  • Track record of managing and developing successful sales teams
  • Experience managing strategic key accounts and delivering sustained commercial growth
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budget ownership and delivery against revenue targets
  • Ability to create and execute channel strategies that drive both short and long-term performance
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working closely with distributors and route-to-market partners
  • Comfortable operating in a highly visible, customer-facing leadership role
  • Passion for premium products, luxury experiences, and exceptional customer service
