The Role
As Head of Sales AM – Northern Europe, you will be a full-time member of the Asset Management (AM) Sales team, working closely with regional Heads of Asset Management to secure new business opportunities across Northern Europe (NE), covering all key technologies (on-and-offshore wind, solar, battery storage, and hydrogen).
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Securing new business for asset management services, including:
- Portfolio Management
- Advisory
- Analysis & Optimisation
- 24/7/365 Control Room services
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities for other RES Services, including O&M, Digital Solutions
- Collaborating with other regional AM sales teams on sales strategies.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead a team of Sales Managers in NE, ensuring their targets align with the AM business requirements and prioritising high-opportunity areas.
- Coordinate regional sales efforts to drive growth, meeting agreed business targets for contract value, annual revenue, and profit.
- Develop and maintain new/existing client relationships, preparing and delivering presentations, while identifying bid opportunities.
- Contribute to service development, including cost modelling and profitability analysis for AM services.
- Work closely with the AM Global Sales Support Team to:
- Manage opportunities from initial enquiry to contract signature.
- Implement robust bid processes and standardise working practices for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead bid review processes to ensure aligned, high-quality submissions in compliance with business controls.
- Track and analyse the performance of regional sales strategies using KPIs with contributions from the Regional AM Director and Global Head of Sales.
- Monitor and uphold CRM usage (Salesforce) for accurate opportunity tracking.
- Drive cross-selling opportunities for other RES Services.
- Foster continuous improvement by gathering and acting on customer/ internal feedback.
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel within the region and possibly internationally.
- Attend key conferences to enhance RES’s market visibility.
Requirements
Knowledge and Understanding

- Familiarity with:
- B2B business development/marketing plans
- AM clients, competitors, and contractors in wind, solar, and storage sectors
- Key account management principles
- Contractual terms related to AM
- Understanding of international bidding/AM strategies for contract success.
Skills
- Strong communication (leadership, stakeholder engagement, clear presentations)
- Robust numerical analysis (e.g., cost modelling for AM under long-term contracts)
- Attention to detail for reviewing and approving AM bids
- Research & strategic analysis to drive competitive advantage
- Organisational agility to manage multiple simultaneous tender timelines
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/SharePoint) and CRM (Salesforce).
Experience
- B2B business development/ relations in high-stakes commercial environments.
- Bidding & proposal writing, including approvals and contract negotiations.
- Prior experience within wind/solar/storage renewable energy sectors preferred.
Qualifications
- A degree in business, engineering, management, or an equal equivalent would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Proven track record in business development can suffice.
