Senior Commercial & Key Account Manager
£65,000 – £75,000 + Commission | Office-Based
About the Role & Company
We are partnering with a fast-growing, forward-thinking business in the innovative construction supplies sector. Recognised for driving exceptional results and fostering strong industry relationships, the company delivers a collaborative, positive, and supportive work environment.
This position is ideal for a seasoned sales leader who excels in consultative rather than transactional sales. You will shape the company’s future growth, inspire a high-performing team, and collaborate closely with Business Development Managers to secure and develop major opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering excellence and alignment with business goals
- Support Business Development Managers in securing and advancing key accounts and opportunities
- Adopt a consultative sales approach, focusing on relationship-building and solution-selling
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Lead by example through exceptional sales performance, leadership, and professionalism
- Develop long-term customer relationships within the construction supplies sector (or related fields like mechanical/plumbing/heating)
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience and commercial success

Requirements
- Proven track record of delivering measurable sales growth and commercial success
- Experience in a senior commercial leadership role (e.g., Key Account Manager, Sales Director, or Head of Sales)
- Strong team management expertise, with the ability to motivate, engage, and drive high-performance teams
- A consultative sales approach, coupled with excellent relationship-building skills
- Passionate, energetic, and hands-on leadership style with a focus on executing deals
- Willingness to mentor and support the team in achieving sales targets
- Preferred (but not essential):
- Experience within innovative construction supplies, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC sectors
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Sal Influenced base salary (£65,000–£75,000) – includes short bonus and commission potential
