Head of Sales - PPE
Head of PPE Sales – UK & Ireland
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven sales leader to join a market-leading industrial and safety solutions organisation.
This strategic leadership role is responsible for a significant PPE and Safety Equipment business across the UK and Ireland, with accountability for delivering ambitious growth, increasing market share, and leading the evolution of a modern, customer-focused sales organisation.
The successful candidate will lead a national sales team of up to 20 professionals, driving a value-based selling approach, developing high-performing talent, and creating strong partnerships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Operating within a fast-paced and complex environment, the Head of PPE Sales will play a pivotal role in shaping commercial strategy, accelerating growth, and ensuring customers remain at the heart of every decision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the UK & Ireland PPE and Safety sales strategy to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
- Lead, motivate and inspire a high-performing sales organisation, establishing clear objectives and accountability.
- Work closely with Marketing and other business functions to develop and execute go-to-market plans and growth initiatives.
- Embed a professional, progressive and customer-centric sales culture focused on value-based selling.
- Champion sales coaching and talent development across the organisation.
- Drive effective use of CRM systems and data-driven sales management practices.
- Manage key customer, supplier, and stakeholder relationships at executive level.
- Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
- Allocate resources effectively to maximise market penetration and commercial performance.
- Identify opportunities for organic growth across corporate and non-corporate customer segments.
- Act as a visible industry leader within PPE, health & safety, and compliance communities.
- Collaborate across sales, marketing, operations, and product teams to achieve shared business objectives.

About the Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished sales leader with deep expertise in PPE, Safety Equipment, and industrial distribution markets. They will possess a strong commercial mindset, exceptional leadership capability, and a proven track record of delivering growth through strategic sales execution.
Skills & Experience
- Significant B2B PPE and Safety Equipment experience.
- Strong background within industrial distribution or related sectors.
- Extensive experience leading large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing growth strategies.
- Strong understanding of customer buying behaviours and market dynamics.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and corporate customers.
- Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical capability and commercial acumen.
- Experience implementing CRM-driven sales processes and performance management frameworks.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
