Head of Sales (UK)

Head of Sales, UK — Engineering-led EV Charging Hardware

Lead the UK commercial growth of an engineering-led EV charging hardware manufacturer, winning co-development and ODM/JDM programmes with European brand owners.

About EN+ UK EN+ UK is the UK commercial operation of EN+ Technologies, a Shenzhen-headquartered engineering and manufacturing group. We co-develop, engineer and manufacture EV charging hardware for product brands, OEMs and energy companies that take products to market under their own names. This is an engineering-led commercial business, not a branded EV charger sales organisation. Programmes begin with the customer’s product specification and run through co-development, NRE, tooling, IP and capacity planning into mass production. The UK team is lean and senior, backed by the design, engineering and manufacturing depth of the Shenzhen platform.

The Role The Head of Sales, UK owns the UK commercial agenda: winning new co-development and ODM/JDM programmes, growing strategic accounts already running on EN+ hardware, and managing selected white-label opportunities alongside. This is a technical-commercial role. Customer buying committees typically span product, engineering, procurement, commercial and senior leadership, and programmes are won and defended through engineering credibility as much as commercial negotiation. V2G hardware programmes with major UK energy customers are an active and growing part of the portfolio, alongside DC fast charging for fleet and depot customers. This is not a branded-product, reseller, distributor or channel sales role.

What You’ll Own New programmes — identify and qualify brand-owner opportunities across the UK and selected European markets. Lead long-cycle pursuits from the first technical conversation through co-development scoping, NRE structuring, IP and exclusivity discussions, and tooling commitment into first mass production delivery. Deal structuring — shape programme commercials covering NRE recovery, tooling amortisation, BOM transparency, IP position, exclusivity windows and multi-year volume. Work with Finance and HQ on programme economics, capacity planning and pricing approvals, balancing customer ambition against engineering resource, manufacturing capacity and long-term value. Strategic accounts — own the senior commercial relationship with existing UK accounts, driving programme expansion, successor product generations, additional SKUs, and V2G and DC follow-on opportunities. Work with the Head of Product & Project Delivery as the commercial counterpart on every major programme. UK commercial leadership — sit on the UK leadership team alongside the Managing Director, Head of Product & Project Delivery, Head of Operations and Finance Director. Own UK forecasting, pipeline integrity and commercial decision-making.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You Will Bring A track record of closing substantial technical or hardware programmes with brand-owner customers in energy, automotive, industrial electronics, EV infrastructure or adjacent sectors — and the ability to explain how they were structured, including NRE, tooling, IP, volume and commercial risk, not just the headline value. Experience running multi-stakeholder buying committees, and comfort with sales cycles measured in quarters rather than weeks. Strong commercial judgement and the ability to operate in a lean senior team with real ownership. Credibility with engineering, product and manufacturing stakeholders. You may currently be a Director of Business Development, Commercial Director, Programme Director, OEM Account Director, Senior Key Account Manager, Strategic Account Director or Head of Sales. Experience with Chinese or Asian-owned engineering and manufacturing businesses — as an employer, customer or supplier — would be an advantage. Pre-existing EV charging experience is not required. Protocol- and specification-level depth, including OCPP, ISO 15118, V2G, PAS 1878/1879 and AFIR, sits with our product and technical teams. We are screening for commercial DNA and the ability to engage credibly with engineers, rather than prior EV charging sector experience.

Location UK-based, hybrid. We are open to candidates across the UK for the right person. Travel across the UK and Europe will be required, with periodic visits to the Shenzhen engineering and manufacturing base.

Why This Role Direct ownership of the UK commercial agenda as EN+ UK’s V2G and DC charging programmes scale — working with senior customers on technically complex, multi-year hardware programmes, with the engineering and manufacturing depth of a major Shenzhen platform behind you.
