The Opportunity

Our client is an innovative health technology company operating at the forefront of diagnostics and precision medicine. They are commercialising a market-leading diagnostic platform and expanding internationally across Europe and the Middle East.

As part of an ambitious growth strategy, they are seeking a commercially minded Head of Science & Technology to work directly with the CEO. This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines deep scientific expertise with strong commercial instincts.

This is not a laboratory-based research position. The successful candidate will act as the scientific face of the business while supporting strategic partnerships, commercial growth and international market expansion.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will bridge the gap between science and business. You'll be responsible for communicating complex scientific concepts to clinicians, laboratories, investors and commercial partners, whilst helping shape the company's commercial strategy and supporting international growth.

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable discussing scientific evidence with leading clinicians as they are supporting commercial negotiations with healthcare organisations and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Leadership

  • Act as the scientific lead for the organisation across multiple international markets.
  • Present scientific data and clinical evidence to healthcare professionals, laboratories and key stakeholders.
  • Translate complex scientific information into clear commercial and technical messaging.
  • Represent the business at conferences, industry events and scientific meetings.
  • Ensure scientific accuracy across marketing materials, presentations and technical documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
