Are you an experienced SEND leader ready to shape the future of inclusive education? Morgan Hunt is delighted to be recruiting for a brand-new Head of SEND & Inclusion opportunity with a forward-thinking Further Education college. This is a rare opportunity to take on a strategic leadership role where you will drive transformational change, influence college-wide practice, and ensure outstanding outcomes for learners with additional needs.

Working closely with the Director of Student Progress, you will lead the development of an ambitious SEND strategy, embedding inclusive practice across multiple campuses while ensuring the highest standards of statutory compliance and learner support.

The Role

You'll provide strategic leadership for SEND and Inclusion, leading a highly experienced multidisciplinary team including SEND Managers, ALS Leads, EHCP Coordinators, SEND Lecturers, Mentors, and ELSAs. This is a role for someone who can inspire others, influence senior stakeholders, and champion a culture where every learner has the opportunity to thrive.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A recognised National SEND/SENCO qualification
  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent professional qualification)
  • Significant experience leading SEND and Inclusion services within Further Education or Education
  • Proven experience managing SEND tribunals and mediation, including preparing legal evidence and representing an organisation at hearings
  • A successful track record of negotiating High Needs funding with Local Authorities
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across education and learner support services
  • A passion for driving innovation, continuous improvement, and inclusive practice
