The ability to shape and define the UK&I SHEQ strategy, with Group support.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement SHEQ strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Lead the SHEQ team across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyse SHEQ performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Oversee audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Drive initiatives to achieve sustainability goals and environmental compliance.
  • Provide training and development to enhance SHEQ awareness and expertise within the organisation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders regarding SHEQ matters.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of SHEQ - UK&I/Nordics should have:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within SHEQ, ideally in the transport and distribution industry.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive organisational change.
  • Relevant professional qualifications in SHEQ or related fields.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic SHEQ initiatives.
