What You’ll Be Doing
As Head of Skills & Learning Experience (EMEA), you’ll execute Ricoh’s learning strategy, ensuring a consistent, engaging, future-focused approach tailored to EMEA colleagues.
Learner Experience & Brand
- Define and deliver an EMEA-wide learner experience strategy, focusing on consistency, personalisation and accessibility.
- Lead the implementation of learning design principles aligned with Ricoh’s strategic goals.
- Develop a language localisation strategy for inclusive, culturally relevant learning.
Learning Design & Content Strategy
- Drive learning design, digital content creation, and curation to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Oversee core competencies in:
- Induction
- Compliance learning
- Digital skills
- AI-related capabilities
- Behavioural development
- Partner with business units to design functional learning offerings.
- Design reskilling & upskilling programmes for Business Transformation, Talent Mobility & future readiness.
- Establish learning impact metrics and monitor L&D performance.
- Ensure Ricoh’s brand and Employee Value Proposition (EVP), including key pillar "Love to Grow", reflects in all learner touchpoints.

Skills Strategy & Experience
- Lead skills frameworks and transition Ricoh to a skills-based organisation.
- Create enhanced job architecture via skills frameworks and technology integration.
- Develop strategic business cases (e.g., Internal Talent Marketplace).
- Advocate for market insights, benchmarking, and trend assessments as Ricoh’s strategy evolves.
- Promote a skills-first learning culture among senior leaders, positioning L&D as a strategic performance driver.
Team Leadership & Cross-functional Delivery
- Coach and develop a future-focused EMEA team, ensuring alignment between standards, ways of working, and expectations.
- Matrix-manage L&D functions, business units, and regions to simplify processes and prioritise shared goals.
- Incorporate learner feedback to assess effectiveness and provide learning impact insights.
- Oversee multi-country strategic plans, especially for Mercado Total Sharing (MTS), ensuring consistent execution.
What You’ll Need
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
✅ Experience in directing learning strategies for multi-national, multi-lingual organisations. ✅ Expertise in leveraging Learning Technologies & digital tools to accelerate business transformation. ✅ Proven ability to embed skills frameworks at scale, design reskilling/upskilling programmes, and advance skills-based cultures. ✅ A voracious drive for innovation—by bringing external market best practices to Ricoh. ✅ Leadership skills in orchestrating matrix teams & EMEA-wide initiatives. ✅ Outstanding communication, collaboration, and business-case skills, with an ability to engage senior leaders. ✅ A user-centric design mindset, valuing accessibility, localisation, and inclusivity.
