Head of Social Media
We are now looking for a Head of Social Media to lead the global social strategy for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Global.
This senior role will be responsible for shaping how our brands show up across social platforms worldwide — driving engagement, cultural relevance and measurable business impact. You will bring deep expertise in social platforms, content, internet culture and trends, alongside strong leadership and commercial acumen.
Working closely with our Social & Content team, restaurant teams and wider Marketing, PR and Operations functions, you will ensure our social output is innovative, on-brand and performance-driven, reflecting the unique personality of each Gordon Ramsay Restaurants brand.
As Head of Social Media, you will:
- Create and lead the global social media strategy across all Gordon Ramsay Restaurants brands and territories
- Define platform mix, audience targeting, objectives, KPIs and measurement frameworks
- Set the creative direction for social content, ensuring best-in-class storytelling and cultural relevance
- Work closely with Content and Creative teams to deliver integrated campaigns that support business and marketing goals
- Ensure content reflects brand priorities and local market nuance, particularly across UK and North America
- Take full ownership of publishing schedules, community management standards and channel optimisation
- Identify opportunities to grow engagement, reach and followers through innovation and platform-first thinking
- Lead regular reporting, turning performance data into actionable insight
- Set and track KPIs aligned to awareness, engagement, acquisition, loyalty and revenue
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing social media team
- Manage agency, freelance and platform partner relationships where required
- Work cross-functionally with PR, Brand, Marketing, Digital and Operations teams to ensure consistent messaging
- Support new restaurant openings, seasonal campaigns, partnerships and brand moments with tailored social strategies
- Develop and deliver an influencer strategy aligned with brand positioning and commercial outcomes
- Act as the senior point of escalation for social media issues, ensuring brand reputation is protected at all times

What we are looking for:
- Proven senior-level experience leading social media strategy within hospitality, restaurants, premium lifestyle or consumer brands
- Deep expertise across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging channels
- Strong creative judgement and a deep understanding of what drives engagement and loyalty
- A data-driven mindset with experience delivering measurable results (awareness, traffic, reservations, ecommerce)
- Experience leading and developing high-performing creative teams
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working across international markets
- A genuine passion for food, hospitality and brand storytelling
About You:
You’re a strategic, commercially minded social media leader with a passion for food, culture and creativity. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and know how to balance bold ideas with measurable results.
- Proven senior-level experience leading social media strategy within hospitality, restaurants, premium lifestyle or consumer brands
- Deep expertise across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and emerging platforms
- Strong creative judgement and an instinctive understanding of what drives engagement
- A data-driven approach with experience delivering clear ROI (awareness, traffic, reservations, ecommerce)
- Experience leading and developing high-performing creative teams
- Confidence managing agencies, creators and complex stakeholder groups
- Experience working across international markets
