We’re hiring a Head of Software at Adder Technology.
This is not a “keep the lights on” role.
We’re looking for a software leader who can help shape the next stage of Adder’s engineering journey. We need you to help break down silos, bring our software teams together, improve delivery predictability, modernise and commonize tooling, strengthen architecture, and build a true software engineering community. You’ll be a talented change agent, someone who can drive meaningful change, but has a will to understand and respect the ‘How did we get here?’ story too.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role needs strategic leadership, but also real technical credibility. You’ll be someone who can challenge architecture, set standards, make decisions, and help teams deliver their best software, faster, without compromising quality.
