Head of Software Engineering - Charity
Remote (UK)
Up to £75,000 + Benefits Pack
Head of Software Engineering required by one of the leading social mobility charities dedicated to improving opportunities for children and young adults across the UK.
This is a chance to lead the next stage in the evolution of an established engineering function and SaaS platform, bringing fresh ideas, shaping technical direction, and using technology to create better opportunities for young people.
You'll join a highly capable team who have chosen to apply their skills to meaningful social impact, while taking a leading role in the future of a mature SaaS platform. Beyond leading the engineering team, you'll influence architecture, product direction, engineering practices, and technology adoption, helping shape both the platform and the organisation as it continues to grow.

Core Requirements:
- Proven software engineering leadership.
- Strong, current coding skills in C#.Net and JavaScript (ideally Angular).
- Azure or equivalent cloud platform experience.
- Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Software architecture and solution design.
- Modern testing approaches, including automation.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews.
- Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
