About the Role

This strategically important leadership position within S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Enterprise Solutions Software business oversees the segments of Corporate Actions, Tax Solutions, and Cappitech. The portfolio encompasses managed data services and enterprise technology platforms, enabling capital markets firms to reduce risk, improve compliance, and streamline post-trade, asset servicing, tax, and regulatory reporting workflows.

The Team

Operating in a global, highly collaborative environment, the Software business partners across Product, Sales, Customer Experience, Operations, and Technology to shape growth strategy, go-to-market execution, and revenue expansion across the portfolio.

Key locations include:

  • US (New York)
  • UK (London)
  • India (Gurgaon)

With global sales coverage to support execution.

The Impact

The Head of Software will:

  • Define and execute commercial and product strategy for the full product suite, driving growth, market positioning, pricing, client engagement, and strategic investment priorities.
  • Position the role as an enterprise leader bridging market needs, client value, product direction, and commercial outcomes.
  • Offer deep expertise in asset servicing, post-trade ecosystems, tax processing, and regulatory reporting, with the ability to:
    • Identify opportunities.
    • Influence the product roadmap.
    • Establish trusted relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage AI to enhance decision-making, governance, workflow integration, and operational resilience across the investment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

This role is accountable for end-to-end commercial leadership over the Corporate Actions, Tax, and Cappitech product suite, including:

  • Revenue & Financial Leadership:
    • Own revenue growth, P&L performance, pipeline development, pricing, commercial models, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Market Competitiveness:
    • Understand and leverage competitive differentiators to champion products effectively in the market.
  • Strategy & Growth:
    • Define product strategy and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Global Sales & Client Engagement:
    • Lead global pre-sales (RFPs, solution design, proposal development, executive client engagement, and deal strategy).
    • Build trusted relationships with buy-side, sell-side, custodians, asset servicers, regulators, industry groups, and strategic partners.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment:
    • Partner with Product, Revenue, Customer Experience, Operations, and Technology to align on strategy, roadmap, execution, and investment priorities.
  • Executive Representation:
    • Act as senior escalation point for key clients; represent the business in governance forums.
  • Thought Leadership:
    • Foster market advocacy through client engagement, forums, conferences, press, and social channels.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Identify and scale opportunities in new markets, client segments, AI innovation, and partnerships.
  • Roadmap & Decision-Making:
    • Translate market intelligence into product roadmap, commercial priorities, and investment recommendations.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Build, develop, and lead a global team of subject matter experts fostering product management, revenue, and technology collaboration.

What We’re Looking For

We seek candidates with:

  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen:
    • Extensive commercial strategy, sales, or business development experience within capital markets, with a proven revenue growth and P&L ownership track record.
  • Deep Domain Expertise:
    • Insight across Corporate Actions, asset servicing, tax processing, regulatory reporting, post-trade, clearing, and settlement ecosystems.
  • AI & Market Dynamics:
    • Strong grasp of market dynamics, client needs, competitive landscape, and AI-enabled improvements in governance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Global Executive Presence:
    • Ability to engage senior stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry bodies.
  • Leadership Experience:
    • Proven ability to build high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, inclusion, trust, and productivity globally.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving, complexity simplification, and compelling market narrative articulation skills.
  • Global Fluency:
    • Experience operating in matrixed, global organizations, with senior executive presence.
