Head of Product Strategy-Consumer Marketplace London £100k+equity

We are have partnered with one of the UK's fastest growing consumer Marketplace businesses who are looking to hire a Head of Product Strategy to work closely with the SLT.

This role works cross-functionally across strategy, marketing, creative, operations, and product, contributing directly to the company’s next phase of growth. It also offers the opportunity to engage with experienced advisors and VC professionals from top-tier global e-commerce businesses.

What you'll be doing:-

Spotting scalable growth opportunities Evaluate industry trends, performance data, and category benchmarks to identify high-potential growth channels beyond core paid social—such as B2B, marketplaces, retention, Pinterest, SEO, and emerging social commerce platforms.

Developing channel rollout strategies Design and implement structured launch plans for priority growth channels—covering commercial models, resource planning, performance metrics, and coordination across key teams.

Driving channel execution and growth Oversee the end-to-end development of new channels—working hands-on or through internal teams and external partners to deliver clear, measurable impact and embed new capabilities into day-to-day operations.

Embedding and evolving Once channels are up and running, establish long-term ownership models through hiring, outsourcing, training, or automation—ensuring sustainability while shifting focus to the next high-impact opportunity.

Contributing to strategic direction Play a key leadership role in shaping company-wide priorities, supporting strategic decision-making, and identifying future growth levers as part of the senior leadership team.

What we are looking for:-

Minimum 4 years’ experience in strategy or consulting at a leading firm consulting firm (MBB), with a strong track record of problem-solving and structured thinking. Evidence of Consumer and Retail focussed projects preferable. 2+ years industry experience in a consumer business is strongly desired. Strong commercial and analytical skill set, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Clear and confident communicator, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Proven leadership experience or demonstrated potential to lead cross-functional inititatives. Experience in a consumer-facing business is a strong plus, though not essential. Genuine enthusiasm for dynamic, fast-paced environments—especially those with a creative or growth-focused culture.
