The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Head of Supply Chain.
Reporting to the Group Projects Director, the Head of Supply Chain provides strategic and operational leadership across Procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier development. The role ensures all goods and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required levels of quality, supporting multi-project delivery in a fast-paced heavy engineering environment.
You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the Group Supply Chain Strategy, aligned to business targets, growth, and project delivery requirements
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, expanding and strengthening the supplier base
- Negotiate long-term supplier agreements, payment terms
- Build relationships and develop partnerships / key framework agreements and MPAs with strategic suppliers
- Implement supplier scorecards, performance criteria, and metrics
- Monitor global commodity trends, logistics constraints, interpret movements, highlighting risk and/or opportunity to project margins
- Lead the development of Supply Chain and Procurement systems, processes, organisational structure, and capabilities
- Lead the Supply Chain & Procurement teams, ensuring delivery of QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) across all projects
- Ensure Procurement processes comply with the company IMS, ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 frameworks
- Oversee RFQ > PR > PO Procurement processes and governance, ensuring accuracy against specification, FTR performance, and alignment with project schedules
- Manage high-value, key supplier purchase order/contracts
Minimum Requirements

- CIPS qualified to L5 or working towards
- Extensive Senior Procurement/Supply Chain leadership experience in construction, heavy engineering, or process industries
- Strong commercial acumen with proven success in high-value negotiations
- Global sourcing experience of high-value, bespoke equipment
- Experience sourcing structural steel, OEM equipment, fabricated assemblies, and coated products
- Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams across more than one location
- Strong understanding of ISO frameworks and EN1090 requirements
