Job Description Head of Supply Chain Management

Location

Design Make, Solihull or Bristol / Hybrid (3 office days a week) with occasional travel to Indianapolis

About the Role

An opening for our Head of Supply Chain Management has arisen within one of our UK sites. As the Head of Supply Chain Management, you will be the focal point for ensuring On-time, in full (OTIF) supply chain performance for all customers (OE and Services), ensuring that short- and medium-term supply chain risks are appropriately understood and managed to minimize customer disruption. You will lead Delivery governance and improvement activity for the Procurement category alongside other Planning & Control leaders and Supplier Management Teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a high standard of communication with both internal and external customers on the subject of Delivery risk and Supply Chain Improvement
  • Lead Supply Chain Operations Managers (SCOM) and Customer Delivery Controllers (CDC)
  • Be the functional coach and support for both Planning & Control Managers and MRPCs/Order Controllers across the Procurement category, ensuring that Planning & Control teams have the tools, processes and competencies which enable them to deliver a high standard of supply chain performance
  • Drive Logistics cost reduction within the Procurement category
  • Co-ordinate inputs to customer L2/3 reviews, presenting on behalf of the Procurement category where agreed
  • Liaise with VP Delivery roles for escalation risks and customer L3/4 review

  • Bachelor’s degree with established years experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Planning and Control leadership experience
  • Planning and Control functional development experience
  • Experience of working through influence across cross functional teams
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Established relationships within Civil and Defence operations
